Southeast Polk Little League
We're looking for some Little League umpires for this up coming week. We have a pretty full schedule for the next couple weeks and are finding ourselves short. Do you or someone you know have umpire experience? If so, please message president@altoonabaseball.org
The south (baseball) parking lot at Sam Wise is open again! Only the west driveway is open, and please be mindful of the ongoing construction in the area.Traffic on 8th St SE has now been switched to travel along the newly completed roadway, so construction can continue on the other portion of this roadway.![]()

Traffic will be allowed to access both Dairy Queen and the Clover Ridge Community throughout this construction work. The map with this post shows how traffic can access, or leave, both of these locations.![]()

It's windy but that's part of April in Iowa. Senior Pirates vs Orioles will kick off our season tonight on the newly renovated Field 6 at Sam Wise! ![]()

Coaches, if you want to practice we leave that decision up to you, the fields are available.The upside of all this wind is that it dries out the fields! 🌪

Cleanup day at Sam Wise is tomorrow and the weather is looking g promising! We need help getting our fields in game shape for the season, all the help we can get would be great. We have leaves to rake, sponsor banners to hang, dugouts to sweep, and some new sets of bleachers that need to be put together! The more help we can get the better!

When this happens, it's usually because the owner only shared it with a small group of people, changed who can see it or it's been deleted. Did someone say food trucks?? As you all know, we have had food trucks out at Doanes Park every summer since 2020. This year, the board member who usually sends out the sign up has had some health issues they have been dealing with with their parents and the signup, unfortunately, got over looked. ![]()
